Robothon

Friday, Septhember 21st – Sunday, September 23rd
Center House, Seattle Center
305 Harrison St. (Seattle)

Robots! Robots! Robots! That’s probably how I should start every post, but in this case it’s actually relevant. This Saturday and Sunday, the Seattle Robotics Society is presenting their annual Robothon. There will be two full days of competitions plus a few hours Friday night for prep and general hackery. Participants are attending from all over the county, and the whole event is free and open to the public. Get your robo-geek on and head down to the Center House this weekend.

Dork Swap!

Wednesday, September 19th @ 7:30pm
911 Media Arts
402 9th Ave N.

This month’s Dorkbot is coming a little bit later, since so many of the Dorks are recovering from Burning Man. The theme this month is Dork Swap, and everyone is encouraged to bring abandoned projects, old equipment, etc. for trading. They’ll also be showing off some videos of Theo Janssen’s work and talking about Seattle’s Hazard Factory heading over to Amsterdam for Robodock.

Next month, Dorkbot returns to it’s regularly scheduled time – the first Wednesday of the month, with Dorkmusic.
