Pillow Fight @ Pike Place

Saturday, March 29th @ 3:15pm
Pike Place Fish Market
86 Pike St. (Downtown)

Ever since the first post, I’ve been waiting for an event that actually entailed meeting at the pig. Well, I am waiting no longer, that event is finally upon us. Tomorrow (Saturday) there will be a Flash Mob Pillow Fight in front of Pike Place Fish Market. The instructions are to show up at 3:15 and act casual (keep your pillow concealed), until you hear the whistle then start fighting, but only other folks with pillows. This is the same group that has put on other random pillow fights, so it should be fun. Oh, and NO Feather Pillows!!!

Update: We didn’t make it down to the pillow fight, but Aviel Ginzburg did, and he has posted some great pictures to Flick.

Seattle Xcoders: iPhone SDK

Thursday, March 27th @ 7 pm
dBug Resource Center
9620 Stone Ave N, Suite 202 (Greenwood)

The geek world is still buzzing over the iPhone SDK announcements from a few weeks ago. Custom apps, games, push email, geolocation – it’s enough to overwhelm a geek. Lucky for us, the Seattle Xcoders (Macintosh Programming Group) are on the scene to help us sort everything out. They meet twice a month, and at their next meeting, this Thursday, they’ll be doing a full review of the iPhone SDK, explaining the ins and outs. If you’re a hacker, a coder, or just curious, head down to the dBug Resource Center in North Seattle.
