I wish I could have been there, but Seattle is a long way from New Jersey. There is a strong movement among both professional astronomers and lay people to get the IAU's ridiculous demotion overturned. In August, Dr. Mark Sykes will be hosting a conference on this issue, "The Great Planet Debate."
