Is it fair to call Cory Doctorow the patron saint of blogging? Maybe that’s a bit over-the-top. Regardless, he’s going to be in town this weekend and next week pimping his latest book – Little Brother, a novel for young adults about “San Francisco hacker kids who fight back against the Department of Homeland Security” Most authors would be content with just a stop at Elliot Bay Books, but not Doctorow: he’s making 3 (!) additional stops around Seattle: Ballard Library on Sunday at 2pm, All for Kids Books on Monday at 4pm, and then Ravenna Third Place Books on Tuesday at 7pm. As of now, it’s unclear if he’ll be travelling via high-altitude balloon.

In anticipation of his visit at the Ballard library, Cory talked with us a bit on the phone and we’ve posted it on Shelf Talk – the library blog. What a terrific fellow, and it is great to see Little Brother doing so very well on the charts. We should start up an annual ‘read Cory Doctorow on your computer while pretending to work’ day.
