	<p><strong>Saturday, October 27th</strong><br />
<em>Third Place Books<br />
17171 Bothell Way NE (Lake Forest Park)</em></p>
<p>Our friends at <a href="http://copynight.org/dada/mail.cgi/list/seattle/">CopyNight Seattle</a> gave us a heads up on two upcoming local appearances by <a href="http://www.upress.umn.edu/Books/H/harold_ourspace.html">Christine Harold</a>, author of the new book, <em><a href="http://www.elliottbaybook.com/product/info.jsp?isbn=0816649545">OurSpace: Resisting the Corporate Control of Culture</a></em>. The book examines the phenomenon of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_jamming">culture jamming</a>, which is the practice of using mass media to comment on the evils of mass media. Fighting the power. Sticking it to The Man, and all that. If you&#8217;re a fan of <a href="http://creativecommons.org/">Creative Commons</a>, <a href="http://www.adbusters.org/home/">AdBusters</a>, or the <a href="http://www.theyesmen.org/">Yes Men</a>, Harold&#8217;s book might be right up your alley.</p>
