Tuesday, Feburary 19th @ 7pm
Capitol Hill Arts Center
1621 12th Ave. (Capitol Hill)

After a bit of a hiatus, Brady Forrest and O’Reilly Radar are bringing Ignite back to the Seattle area. This has proven to be one of the most dynamic and interesting local tech events in recent memory. In the general format (also known as pecha kucha), participants have 5 minutes to present 20 slides, with no control over how they’re shown and sometimes the order they’re shown in. This is a great way to get an idea for some of the more interesting projects going on around Seattle. Talk submissions are open until February 10th, but the earlier you get yours in, the more likely you will be to present.

Capitol Hill Arts Center

I think everyone knows the drill of this by now. Brady Forrest (of O’Reilly Media) and Bre Pettis (of Make Magazine) are hosting the fourth Ignite Seattle event on Wednesday. If you haven’t been, it starts out with a Make-inspired contest (building bridges, dropping eggs, etc), and then that’s followed by three rounds of 5 minute lighting talks. This is one of the best geek events in Seattle these days – check out the Ignite Blog for speaker information.
