No doubt lots of people are going down to the World Cyber Games at Qwest Field this weekend. But if you’re looking for something a little more laid-back, a little more traditionally geeky, then head over to the Center House at Seattle Center for NWBrickCon. There’s a public exhibition on Saturday and Sunday so you can look around at the hundreds of Lego sculptures. The entry cost is $5 per person, $15 for families.

Robots! Robots! Robots! That’s probably how I should start every post, but in this case it’s actually relevant. This Saturday and Sunday, the Seattle Robotics Society is presenting their annual Robothon. There will be two full days of competitions plus a few hours Friday night for prep and general hackery. Participants are attending from all over the county, and the whole event is free and open to the public. Get your robo-geek on and head down to the Center House this weekend.
